Thank you for your interest in membership at the Dubai Mercantile Exchange.  To ensure timely processing of your application, please ensure all relevant questions are completed and supporting documents attached.  Required documentation that is not received will delay the processing of your application.

The purpose of this form is to enable entities to apply for Clearing Membership, Equity Membership or Off-Floor Membership at the DME and to demonstrate to the DME that they meet the criteria for membership as set out in Chapter 2 of the DME Rules.

The DME Membership Committee, by authority delegated by the Board of DME, will consider all information and supporting documentation provided by the Applicant and may request further information. The DME Membership Committee has absolute discretion whether or not to accept Membership applications.

Capitalized terms in this application have the same meaning as in the DME Rules, unless separately defined in this application.

Key Points

• The application and all supporting documents submitted must be in English.
• All financial documentation should be denominated in U.S. Dollars.
• If the Applicant is a subsidiary of a parent company, the application should be filed in the name of the subsidiary, taking into account the physical location where the subsidiary plans to execute trades on the Exchange.
• This application should be accompanied by payment of the DME membership application fee. Note that the DME application feed is non-refundable.
• DME may seek to verify the information provided in this application with third parties in order to ensure compliance with AML requirements. By submitting this application, the applicant consents to the Exchange making such inquiries.
• Acceptance of this application and admission to Membership is subject to the Applicant being authorised, recognised or otherwise permitted by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (“DFSA”) to carry out the activities which it intends to conduct while trading on the Exchange.
