Member Notice 09-050 introduced a number of changes to Chapter 10 of the DME Rulebook, including industry representation on the Oman Delivery Committee (“ODC”). In order to assist with the timely formation of an ODC under Chapter 10 of the DME Rulebook, the DME and CME Group shall establish a panel (the “ODC Panel”), which shall contain the names of individuals willing and able to sit as members of an ODC, should the need arise.

Accordingly, market participants are invited to nominate individuals for membership of the ODC Panel. In reviewing the nominations, consideration will be given to an individual’s:

• experience with lifting Oman crude;
•  general knowledge of oil trading/shipping; and
• other qualifications that the DME and CME consider relevant.

Note that membership or affiliation with the Exchange or the Clearing House shall not be a prerequisite to appointment as an ODC Panellist and members are encouraged to notify their customers of this opportunity. 

Nominations should include the individuals’ curriculum vitae or equivalent information and explain how the nominee is suitable for inclusion on the ODC Panel.

It is intended that the ODC Panel contain a sufficient number of ODC representatives to support the scheduling of multiple contemporaneous ODC’s. Members of the ODC Panel who are available to participate on an ODC will be selected by DME and CME Group by lottery or other such means as determined by the Clearing House. Note that ODC Panellists will not be permitted to participate in an ODC if they have a conflict of interest arising from a direct or indirect interest in performance of the delivery obligations in question. Nominations for the ODC Panel should be received no later than 7^th January 2010. Successful nominees will be notified of their appointment in writing.
