Floor members are those entities that physically occupy one or more of the 50 seats located on the DME’s trading floor. They are entitled to preferential transaction fees and margin rates. Floor Members also benefit from marketing and branding opportunities afforded by being located on the DME’s trading floor. Additionally, the DME equips each seat with a PC, workstation and the office equipment needed to trade on the Exchange.

All Floor Members must be established in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and authorised or otherwise permitted by the DFSA to conduct the activities which they intend to conduct while trading on the Exchange. They must also hold an active futures account with a Clearing Member and comply with the DME Rulebook. The selection process is conducted by the DME Membership Committee in accordance with the procedures set out in Chapter 2 of the DME Rulebook.
