Shahnaz Qaedi, General Counsel, Head of Membership and Secretary to the Board

Shahnaz Qaedi's responsibilities include advising and counseling the DME Board of Directors and relevant committees, drafting and reviewing relevant Exchange documentation, DME rules and by-laws, and supervising the Membership function of the DME.

Shahnaz's previous experiences includes working as Assistant General Counsel and Deputy Registrar of Companies with the Dubai International Financial Centre; a Solicitor (Corporate Seat) for Clifford Chance LLP in Dubai; Trainee Solicitor (Litigation and Banking Seats) for White & Case LLP, London; Graduate Management Trainee and Credit Risk Officer for ABC (BSC) in Bahrain and Assistant to in-house legal counsel in ABC International Bank, London.

Shahnaz has an LLB, with Honors (Contract Law, European Law, Commercial Law, Equities & Trusts, and Human Rights) from Durham University, and completed the Legal Practice Course (Commercial Litigation, Public Companies, Business Law and Commercial Law) from the College of Law, Guildford.
