DME salutes Jerald David, CMO,
prior to his upcoming return to New York
Dubai – 21 May, 2008: The Dubai Mercantile Exchange
announced today that its Chief Marketing Officer Jerald
David will be leaving the DME in August 2008 as part of
his plans to return to the
United States.
Mr David was a member of the team
which established the initial framework of the Dubai
Mercantile Exchange. He played a key role in the
coordination with NYMEX, one of the DME’s founding
shareholders, where he had worked for 9 years previously
as Vice President of Marketing and DME Relations.
As a
NYMEX secondee and then as Chief Marketing Officer , he
helped to determine the strategic direction for the DME,
building an international customer base and promoting
awareness and understanding of the new exchange
throughout the global energy industry.
Gary King, CEO of the Dubai
Mercantile Exchange, commented: “We wish Jerry all the
best in his future endeavours. As part of the initial
start-up team, he has stayed with the DME for far longer
than his initial contractual obligations, transferring
to become an employee of the DME from his NYMEX roots.
Jerry has made a significant contribution to the
success of the DME and we have been proud to work with
someone of his calibre and expertise. We wish him all
the best for his return to
New York.”
